Hi my name is Kenzie Rice, I was born and raised in Humboldt County where the redwoods meet the sea. After graduating from Dallas Baptist University in 2018 as a college athlete with my BS in Biology, I made my way to the beautiful Lake Tahoe area to further my health journey, expand my knowledge in health & fitness, and surround myself with the breathtaking outdoors.
Beginning in high school sports leading into college soccer I developed a strong, passion for fitness. This passion transformed into a lifelong commitment to physical excellence into a thriving career in personal training and group fitness. While competing at a high level, I developed a deep understanding of discipline, perseverance, and the importance of a well-rounded fitness regimen.
After receiving my group fitness certifications in P90X and TRX, I expanded my knowledge into personal training to give clients more one-on-one training. I received my personal training certificate from the American Council of Exercise (ACE), which has allowed me to create programs that are both enjoyable and effective. I have experience in a variety of training methods such as: weight lifting, cardio, circuits, and interval training. From these various methods of training, I have the ability to develop a workout regimen that aligns for each clients specific goals.

Martin Benes has been working with endurance and mountain sport athletes for over 15 years. A former NCAA Division I cross-country ski racer, he turned to coaching after graduating college. He has helped to develop athletes at the junior, collegiate, national, and international levels in cross-country skiing, alpine skiing, and biathlon. Over the past few years, he has deepened his knowledge by becoming a personal trainer and loves the facilities at Camp 1 to help clients live their best lives in the Truckee-Tahoe area. He has worked with multiple Olympic and Paralympic athletes focused primarily on endurance sports and skiing. He specializes in functional strength training with a holistic approach to help people make the most of living in the mountains.

Michael is a personal trainer certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). His top priority in working with clients is creating a program that is both enjoyable and effective as well as sustainable. Michael specializes in weight training but has experience with bodyweight, cardio, circuit, and interval training as well. He draws from these various methods of training to develop a workout plan that aligns with his client’s goals.
Michael grew up on the east coast in northern New Jersey and received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. His enthusiasm for fitness began as a child playing football, wrestling, and running track and has only grown as he’s gotten older. Today, he considers himself a perpetual learner in the field of fitness and is constantly exploring new methods and ways to improve his training.

Born and raised in Santa Barbara, Ben Gately has always been passionate about movement and fitness. After studying sports medicine at Colorado State, he blended his love for team sports and individual activities like surfing, skateboarding, and snowboarding with a deep understanding of body mechanics. As a certified personal trainer, Ben’s functional full-body programs build strength, power, and mobility driving his clients to their fullest potential.

Chris is a passionate snowboarder, mountain biker, and wakeboarder with over 9 years of experience as a snowboard instructor. His deep love for mountain sports drives his commitment to helping athletes pursue their favorite activities with more strength, mobility, and confidence. As a NASM certified personal trainer and an ATG (Athletic Truth Group) coach, Chris specializes in training that focuses on muscle building, joint repair, and mobility enhancement. He knows that staying active requires a holistic approach, which is why he integrates fitness, nutrition, and recovery strategies into his coaching. His goal? To empower athletes to live a pain-free, vibrant life and continue excelling in the sports they love. Chris’s expertise is geared towards mountain athletes who want to not only prevent injury but become stronger than ever before.
